golf

so we went golfing today. i was really quite bad. i had like maybe 5 decent shots. the other like 70 shots were horrible. obviously. it was only a 9 hole course. so 70 shots is not so good. actually i don't think it was quite that bad, but still. i just could not hit decently. on like half the holes, i would get it up to the green in like 2 shots, but then it took me like 5 putts to get in. i am not good at putting. i am not good with irons. or the sand wedge. for some reason, i had some great shots with my pitching wedge and some decent drives. but everything else was horrible. but anyways. we went with nick and kristen (adam's friends from purdue) and when we were done, nick realized he lost his car key. i guess he had it in his pocket, but at some point on the course, took his wallet out to put in his golf bag, and the key must have fallen out. unfortunately it's his only car key - he was only given one key when he got the car. and his house keys and kristen's car keys and purse were locked in his car. so we drove over (there are roads everywhere around this course - you have to cross a road after almost every hole) to a couple of the holes where he thought it might have been, and we looked around, but no success. so we were on the air force base so we went to the main entrance to see if they could call base security to open nick's car, but they won't do it becasue of liablility issues. so that sucked. so we ended up driving back to nick's apartment because he had the keyless entry remote in his apartment. but wait - the apt keys were locked in the car. but luckily nick lives on the 2nd floor and has a deck and just happens to leave his patio door unlocked. so adam gave nick a boost up to the deck - which was really quite high - and somehow nick climbed up and got in to his apt and got his remote. so then we drove back to the base and got their keys and stuff out of the car and then drove them back to nick's place. so we spent like an hour running around trying to find a key and figuring out what to do about it. quite an interesting night. needless to say, nick is quite perturbed (however you spell that). all in all i think our golf outing took about 4 hours - about twice as long as it should...

yes, my life is really thrilling

What an adventure! I wish we had four hours to spend on any kind of outing...
