last day...

so today was my last day student teaching. the day totally flew by. it was crazy. i had to correct spelling tests and read their journal entries, so that took up most of my morning. their journal entry today was about me. they had to write about the time while i was there. so it was fun to read all of those. i made copies of them to keep for myself - some were absolutely hilarious. then in the afternoon we watched a movie and then had a little party. i made them cupcakes and wrote them a little note and gave them some candy and a pencil. so they had fun. and of course i started crying as i was reading the note to tehm. so yeah. it was a sad day. but it was fun. a lot of them made me cards and stuff too. and then the whole class made me a card and mrs. carlson got me a book of fun classroom activities/projects so that was cool. i got her some dark chocolates and a gift certificate to sammy's pizza, which is her favorite. so that was cool. but now i'm off to johny holm dance so more later.

friday night

well it's friday night. no big plans. kinda nice. down to one week left of studetn teaching. getting kinda sad about that. but very excited to just be done with school. i got an email from our dj service yesterday and need to get some work done on that this weekend, should be kind of exciting. too bad adam is out of town for the weekend and not available to help me. well i guess too bad for him if there ends up being lots of country music played. ha ha. this weekend begins mayfest, so i will be playing mayball (softball) on sunday beginning at 9 am. hopefully we'll play throughout the day. it wouodl be fun to win and get to keep playing. and we better win the first game, cuz it's against a bunch of freshmen i hear. also need to really work on my portfolio. but we'll see about that....
i'm excited, we've been getting quite a few responses already for the wedding - most people are able to come (so far only 6 people are unable to come), so hopefully we get a few more nos back because we are definitely over on our numbers. but i'm sure it'll all work out jjust fine. i've been calling home everyday just to see who's responded so far. we've actually got about 1/5 of our responses back already, so that's good.
well not much else going on, so i spose i should get home and maybe catch up on some csi and er and do some scrapbooking. whoo hoo!

so yeah. it's friday. my spring break is almost over. sad. it flew by. i went to adam's sat-wed. it was a lot of fun. i'm super excited to move in to our new place. we did some shopping and bought some necessities for the house (like handtowels for the bathroom, because he had zero!). we also bought a charcoal grill and patio furniture. so that was cool. we grilled hamburgers and ate out on the patio on tuesday night. i also got some strawberry plants and potted them, so i hope they grow! and i hope he takes care of them for the next 2 months.

yesterday was a busy day. lots of errands and wedding plans. finalized flower stuff with my aunt. stuffed all the invitations - they'll be going out monday or tuesday. yay! i'm so excited. today, i have a few errands i need to run, but unfortunately my car is in the shop. just a tune up and new brakes, but it was supposed to be done yesterday. so hopefully it's done early enough today, because i need to head up to duluth today, adn i'd like to leave somewhat early to beat traffic. eeks. so i suppose i should probably get busy pretty soon, so that when my car is ready, i'm ready too. but anyways.

this weekend should be fun. my friends are throwing me a shower at school. it will be funm and interesting to see people. haven't seen a lot of them in quite a while. i also need to do some lesson planning and hopefully some work on my portfolio. and i forgot that my prof is coming to observe me monday afternoon, so of course i didn't bring anything home to do alesson plan for that. so not sure what i'm going to do. hopefully i'll be able to work on something quick over lunch on monday. eeks.

wow

so yeah, it's been a pretty hectic past few weeks. teach teach teach. that's about it. but now i'm off for spring break for a week! woo hoo! i'm home for tonight, then i fly out tomorrow to go to see adam and our new place! i'm super excited. not a whole lot planned for while i'm there, but i'm sure we'll go look at the base and explore the area. so should be fun. then i come home wednesday and who knows from there. i'll only be home until friday afternoon/early evening. and i have a lot of wedding stuff to get done. i think i've decided to get a veil, so have to go order that. have to stuff invites and put postage on envelopes and get them in the mail. have to finalize music choices. have to meet with my aunt about flowers. and whatever else comes up. so this will be a busy, quick week. luckily only 3 more weeks to go of teaching after that. and only one of those will be completely full time, then i back off. which will be kidn of sad too. but i'm just ready to graduate right now. but yeah, have lots to get done tonight, since i leave early tomorrow.
